Introduction

Bullet Train (2022 ) is an action comedy thriller directed by David Leitch. It was produced by Antoine Fuqua, who also wrote the script. Bullet Train is based on Ktar Isaka’s 2010 novel Maria Beetle.

Bullet Train is about Karma, good luck, bad luck, fate, and vengeance. Sony Pictures released this film, which runs for two hours. The film was made in three languages: Japanese, English, and Spanish.

Synopsis

Bullet Train follows the narrative of Ladybug, one of the world’s unluckiest assassins who is determined to complete his mission without murdering anybody, as he has done in past missions. His current task is to recover a briefcase supposedly owned by the White Death, a Russian crime lord who is extremely threatening.

A bit about Bullet Train

Bullet Train begins in Japan with The Father, an assassin who is visiting his dying son in the hospital. He is most likely sent to board a bullet train, one of the fastest moving trains, to recover a briefcase.

Ladybug, another assassin, is also assigned to the same job by his handler. Ladybug hasn’t been on the field in quite some time. This briefcase recovery assignment was Carver’s task, but Carver phoned in sick, so Ladybug fills in for him. He makes retrieving the briefcase without taking anyone’s life part of his objective.

Ladybug believes he has poor luck and goes to consult a therapist who has been assisting him with the matter. As Ladybug says after visiting the therapist, ‘I am experiencing a calm like never before’. He also claims to be less reactive to events and his is now coming to terms with people’s flaws.

This job was assigned to about 5 assassins, and they had to combat each other to see who would come out on top.

Lemon and Tangerine were the initial holders of the briefcase. Lemon and Tangerine are assassin brothers who are tasked with retrieving the case and also retrieving White Death’s son. White Death is a powerful and vicious assassin who rose to power by assassinating his master.

Lemon leaves the case to sit with his brother to secure White Death’s son, only to discover that the case has vanished. The case has gone missing, and he must locate it before reaching his destination.

Ladybug took the case, unknown to Lemon and Tangerine. He had finished his task and attempted to exit the train, but is stopped by another assassin, the Wolf.

Ladybug must first fight the other assassins to win the case, which will not be an easy process.

Bullet Train Film Review

I have a lot to say about this film.

I adore the performances of all of the actors and actresses. This film was star-studded, so you expect the stars to perform, and they did.

Brad Pitt, Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Brian Tyree Henry feature in Bullet Train. You can count on these actors to give their best.

Ladybug, one of the unluckiest assassins, is played by Brad Pitt. Pitt employs all of his extraordinary acting abilities to create a fantastically comedic persona, and his long flowing hair just adds to the humor as it swings around. Pitt was the obvious star of the show.

The Prince is portrayed by The Princess‘s star Joey King. King portrays a young woman who is deceitful and cunning and who is skilled at manipulating others and circumstances. She was effective in her role. Joey is a lovely young lady, but when the time comes to reveal her dangerous side, she does so without hesitation.

Joey’s accent also served her well. They were outstanding. For an American who was attempting to mimic a British accent, she did well. Joey claimed that she spent many hours honing her accent, and I was very pleased with the results.

I can’t talk about outstanding performances without mentioning Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who plays the British assassin Tangerine, and Brian Tyree Henry, who plays the British assassin Lemon. Lemon could read people and be obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine. They both made me laugh a lot and impressed me.

Because of the thrills, suspense, and humor in this film, I adore it. It was hilarity personified. David Leitch, who also helmed Deadpool 2, was in charge of the directing this movie. You are aware of Deadpool‘s humor. Coming into this movie, you should be prepared for the same.

The movie’s soundtrack and songs were great. It’s appropriate for each mood and events. It can occasionally heighten the tension that the film creates. That is good.

Although there were many plot twists in Bullet Train, the main plot was never lost. It was great fun for me. I thought the movie would never end because there were so many twists. You keep discovering layers, just like an onion.

I adore how they used back-dating to reveal more about the personalities and certain situations. I felt inspired.

Bullet Train is suspenseful, powerful, and intriguing.

The final act contains shocking scenes and characters, I must confess you.

There are still some drawbacks to this film despite all of its advantages.

First off, certain action scenes appeared to be staged. There’s no denying that it was fascinating, but it’s obvious that they were choreographed. This also wasn’t intended to be.

“…NEGATIVE OUTLOOK LEADS TO MORE NEGATIVE OUTCOME…”

The editing was also not properly done. I wasn’t impressed at all. I also felt some suspense wasn’t necessary.

Did you know?

Taylor-Johnson underwent surgery after doing a stunt for a Bullet train. He describes how, while filming a stunt, he crashed into some unpadded scenery. Taylor-Johnson asked if they could do the take again before being informed that he needed to go to the hospital for sutures and stay overnight for monitoring because he wasn’t immediately aware of the severity of his injury. According to Screenrant

During filming, Brad Pitt’s hair caused distractions. Pitt’s lengthy hair annoyed Brian Tyree Henry (Lemon) so much that it was beyond distracting. In response to a particular scenario, Henry expressed his annoyance: “there’s this wind fan that’s just perfectly placed for Brad Pitt and so I would forget some of my lines because I’m so busy lost in this wheat blond, beautiful hair. And like he’s so good at hair control that like he knew exactly when to whip it, and it just made me want to punch him in the face more.” This is according to Cinemablend

In conclusion, my experience was fantastic. David Leitch typically produces amazing films. He always delivers, so you can rely on him.

Due to violence, sex, and language, I would recommend Bullet train to action movie lovers above 16.
