After watching about 3 trailers of the much-anticipated Fast X movie, I finally get to watch the thrilling action and adventure film has finally as it hit the big screen. Fast X, also referred to as Fast and Furious 10, is directed by Louis Leterrier. Louis took over the directorial role following Justin Lin’s departure from the project due to creative differences, although Justin still maintains writing and producing credits. Notably, Louis Leterrier made significant contributions to the screenplay, although his involvement remains uncredited.
This film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, John Cena, and Jason Momoa. With a staggering production budget of around $340 million, Fast X ranks as one of the most expensive movies ever created, securing the eighth spot on the list. The extensive filming process spanned several international locations, such as London, Rome, Turin, Lisbon, and Los Angeles.

FAST X (2023) FILM REVIEW.
In the highly anticipated Fast X, the story kicks off with Dante Reyes, who is driven by an intense desire for revenge against Dominic Toretto and his crew for their actions against Dante’s Father – Herman Reyes. Dante’s sole objective is to eliminate Dominic, his crew, and his family once and for all. However, he is instructed to make them suffer, and he reluctantly agrees to this demand.
Meanwhile, the Agency obtains information about stolen military hardware. They discover that the next day, a state-of-the-art quantum computer chip will be transported to Rome. The Fast and Furious crew is tasked with stealing the chip while it is in transit. As the team embarks on this exhilarating mission, Dom, the leader of the group, decides to stay home with his wife and son, entrusting the team to the comedic Roman, who assumes leadership in his absence.
Dante manages to infiltrate Cipher’s team, causing her to desperately seek refuge with Dom and ask for his assistance. “I encountered the devil tonight,” she admits to him, “He came to my door, he let himself in” she continues. She goes further to tell Dom that she seeks his help because “the enemy of my enemy is you.” Cipher also reveals Dante’s plans to hurt Dom’s family.
After she confesses to Dom, Cipher is arrested by Little Nobody. As Dom and Letty question Little Nobody about the whereabouts of their Fast and Furious crew members, they discover a shocking truth: the supposed mission in Rome was a cunning trap. There was never a genuine assignment. Now, Dom and Letty find themselves compelled to rescue their teammates. The stakes have been raised, and a thrilling rescue mission awaits them.
Unbeknownst to the Fast and Furious crew who went on the mission, the entire mission they embarked upon was an elaborate trap. As they continue their efforts to retrieve the supposed chip, they make a startling discovery – there is no chip at all. Instead, it turns out to be a massive bomb cleverly disguised as a ball. The bomb is securely placed inside a moving truck, forcing the crew to devise a plan to infiltrate the truck and remove the explosive device.
Through a series of adrenaline-fueled maneuvers, they manage to successfully jettison the bomb into the water, significantly minimizing the potential devastation. However, their triumph is short-lived as Letty is unexpectedly arrested. To make matters worse, Agent Aimes, who wrongly believes that the Fast and Furious crew is responsible for the chaos, sets out to apprehend Dom, his crew, and even his sister.
Now facing threats from both Agent Aimes and Dante, Dom must navigate a treacherous path to protect his family. The pulse-pounding action intensifies as Dom and his crew must rely on their skills, unity, and sheer audacity to overcome the formidable challenges that lie ahead.
Come to think of it, did I enjoy this film? Ummm, I’m sorry; you’ll have to read to the end to find out.
Fast and Furious 10, also known as Fast X stars a lot of good characters who weren’t properly utilized. So many potentials just lay to waste. But based on the characters whose potential were maximized, Jason Momoa he character that amazed me in his role as Dante Reyes. He really did an amazing job as he was giving off the Johnny Depp from Pirates of the Caribbean vibe. Vin Diesel as expected also impressed with his determination and his display of emotion. His all-round performance was okay.
I was thoroughly impressed by the effects in Fast X, including the stunning visual and special effects, as well as the immersive sound effects. The animation and CGI work were particularly noteworthy, even though they may stretch the boundaries of believability. While we all know that cars can’t perform such incredible feats in reality, we still derive immense pleasure from witnessing these thrilling moments on the screen. After all, who wouldn’t want to witness high-speed car races and experience the adrenaline of nitrous boosts, just like in video games, brought to life in a movie?
The songs featured in Fast X are absolutely delightful. Each one holds a special place in my heart. Some of them evoked strong emotions, reminding me of the past installments in the franchise, while others filled me with joy. I was particularly thrilled to hear the inclusion of one of my all-time favorite franchise songs, “See You Again” by Wiz Khalifa ft. Charlie Puth. Its presence added an extra layer of nostalgia and made the experience even more memorable.
Fast X is an adrenaline-fueled spectacle with jaw-dropping action scenes. From intense fights and daring stunts to thrilling races and epic clashes, this action here takes the excitement to a whole new level. Personally, I was captivated by the high-octane sequences, as they propelled the movie into an even higher gear, leaving me thoroughly entertained.
After all, is said and done, it’s hard to ignore the predictability and clichéd nature of the film. Even at its peak moments some, it was still predictable. The dialogues themselves become quite predictable too. Take, for example, the classic exchange: “Everybody stays back, I got this.” “No, we got this.” It’s easy to guess who says these lines. Of course, it’s Dom and Letty.
Fast X is an action-packed thriller with a captivating soundtrack that enhances the viewing experience. I really enjoyed it. The film’s music, ranging from soul-stirring ballads to pulsating beats, intensifies the emotional connection with audiences. The mind-blowing special effects push the boundaries of what’s possible on screen, creating an immersive visual feast. The attention to detail and seamless integration of effects leave spectators in awe. The entire team behind Fast X deserves praise for their excellent work.
