TRANSFORMERS: RISE OF THE BEASTS FILM REVIEW.
In the realm of the Autoboots – Maximals, a dangerous situation unfolds as the mighty Unicron, a god-like entity that devours planets, and his followers, led by the relentless Scourge, invade their world. Their objective? To acquire the Transwarp key, a powerful artifact capable of opening portals across time and space. Scourge, speaking on behalf of his insatiable master, demands the key, promising to spare their home in return – “My master grows hungry, give me the Transwarp key and we will spare your home”.
However, Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobots, refuses to yield, declaring that they would rather face annihilation than allow the enemy to venture into other worlds. Unfortunately, Optimus defiance is swiftly met with defeat as Scourge effortlessly overpowers Prime.
Optimus Prime entrusted the Transwarp key to Optimus Primal, urging him to safeguard it and ensure its protection. Following Prime’s directive, Optimus Primal decided to flee to Earth, believing it to be a place of refuge and safety.
In 1994, a young man Noah Diaz who had served as a soldier and now worked as an electronic technician found himself in desperate need of a job. After facing rejection in his recent job search, his friend proposed a risky idea – to steal a Porsche 964 that had been sitting idle in a museum parking lot for weeks. They planned to sell it and make some much-needed money. However, as he embarked on this journey of theft, the Noah discovered something extraordinary.
The car seemed to possess a consciousness of its own as if it were an Autoboot, an intelligent robotic being. It wasn’t until later, during a dramatic police chase, that the truth fully dawned on him. He realized that the car he had stolen had a mind and will of its own. Unfortunately, his friend had already abandoned him during the pursuit, leaving him to face the consequences alone.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Elena Wallace, an intern employed at the museum, was given an assignment to examine a particular artifact. As she carefully inspected it, she sensed that there was something remarkable and out of the ordinary about this object. Taking her time, she immersed herself in studying the inscriptions engraved upon it. However, as she attempted to scan the artifact, a sudden mishap occurred, causing it to break. To Elena’s surprise, hidden within the artifact was the Transwarp key, which emitted a distinct signal visible only to the Autobots.
Optimus Prime detects the signal emitted by the Transwarp key and promptly gathers the Autobots, informing them about the immense power it possesses and it is potential to transport them back to their homeworld. However, they are not the only ones who have caught wind of this valuable artifact. The Terrecons, loyal followers of the planet eater, have also set their sights on the key. They intend to deliver it to their master, granting him unparalleled power.
With both factions now aware of the signal, a race against time ensues. Will the Terrecons succeed in obtaining the key and fulfill their master’s nefarious desires? Or will the Autobots manage to secure the key first?, or will Noah who now knows what the key is capable of destroy it to prevent anyone from wielding its immense power? The unfolding events hold the answer to these questions, as the battle between light and darkness reaches a crucial tipping point.
The character that captured my heart the most was Pete Davidson who played the role of Mirage, a Porsche 964. Knowing me well, it’s no surprise that I adore humor and anything that can make me smile. If a character can bring a smile to my face, they instantly become my favorite. Alongside the Porsche, Noah was another character I deeply connected with. He felt incredibly relatable throughout the film, displaying a wide range of emotions and a strong sense of humanity, especially when it came to his family and his love for Earth.
However, I don’t want to overshadow the other characters in the movie, as the entire team was fantastic. Each character had unique qualities that complemented one another, making the overall dynamic truly enjoyable to watch. They were all well-developed and interesting. They all brought their brand of fun and excitement to the story, creating a memorable and entertaining experience.
The cinematography was impressive as well, allowing us to see the action from various angles and truly experience it. The camera work was so dynamic, with a variety of shots that brought the action to life. I loved how the camera used both stationary and handheld shots to create a sense of excitement and urgency. I enjoyed it.
The music, although not outstanding, was decent enough. The animation and the action were a highlight for me, especially the flawless transformation of the robots. it was like watching magic happen. I hada deep admiration for the action sequences in combat. Whenever I witness the autobots engaged in battle, I find myself captivated and filled with a profound sense of fascination. The intensity and sheer spectacle of the fights never fail to enthrall me, drawing me in with an irresistible passion.

The humor in the movie was also really clever. The characters were funny and the jokes were well-timed. I laughed out loud several times during the movie.
The movie was also visually stunning. The landscapes were beautiful and the special effects were amazing. I was impressed by the work that went into creating the movie.
