Review

Chip and Dale rescue rangers is a Disney animation movie that took place between 1982 -1990. This animated cartoon is about two chipmunks – Chip and Dale, and their life of adventures.

The animation is full of laughter and adventure and has a bit of crime; therefore, I’d classify it as an adventure, action, and comedy animation.

The movie started with Dale (Corey Burton) telling a story of how he met Chip (Tress MacNeille).

Dale’s first day in his new school started as the first day in almost everyone’s new school. Just a lonely and boring day majorly because we have little or no friends in the school. Dale was a happy guy who always tried to share his happiness in different ways. Sometimes, it turns out bad, other times, it turns out well.

Chip is the leader of the Rescue Rangers. He is funny and thoughtful, fearless, optimistic, and has high moral standards. He has strong opinions and frequently disagrees with Dale about his best friend’s more mediocre approach.

Dale is very ambitious. He wanted to become a star of his show and not remain a ‘second banana’ to Chip on their TV show – ‘Chip and Dale Rescue Ranger’. This decision by Dale to start his show was not taken lightly by Chip and this caused a split in their friendship.

The rescue crew consists of Monterey Jack, the adventurer, the inventor – Gadget Hackwrench (Tress MacNeille), Zipper (Corey Burton), and of course Chip and Dale.

After the split between Dale and chip, crew members went their separate ways.

Monty (Jim Cummings and Peter Cullen), the adventurer is an Australian mouse who loved cheese so much that he ran into debt. He bought more than he could pay for. He also had trouble with some gang – the valley gang. The valley gang is notorious and they are known for ‘bootlegging’. Monty needed some help so he reached out to an old friend Chip via voicemail, telling him to come over to his apartment. Unknown to Chip, Monty also reached out to Dale for the same reason. Now both of them are present in Monty’s apartment. What will happen, will Chip and Dale reconcile? You can only watch to find out!

After Monty explained himself to the Chipmunks, they both left to their various apartments. Later that night, Dale gets a call from the police that Monty has been kidnapped, what happens from here? Will Monty be released? So many questions exist and you can only find the answers if you watch.

I feel this movie relates to everyone but mostly to those with big dreams, those who wish above all else to accomplish something meaningful in life. Challenges will come but will you be strong enough to pull through?

The Director (Akiva Schaffer) tries to bring in several Disney characters from various. Characters like Roger Rabbit, Peter pan, Sonic (The Ugly Sonic), and so on, Just like in the Emmy-winning episode in the family guy (Family guy season 16, episode 1).

Chip and Dale is an interesting movie with a clear message. This animation not only entertains you but also encourages you. It is a fantastic piece though I have some issues with it. The way animations were meant to blend with humans wasn’t nice. I feel Disney still needs to work on that. If you don’t watch some Disney movies, you won’t understand where some foreign characters come from.

I would give the movie a 7.2/10 rating.
